About Kelsey Farish

I am a media and technology solicitor (England & Wales) at DAC Beachcroft in London, and regarded as one of Europe’s leading legal experts on synthetic audiovisual content.

My academic research and practical advisory work on deepfakes and Internet regulatory issues more generally have seen me appear before the European Parliament to advise on proposed deepfake legislation, as well as on national media to include BBC Radio.

Originally from Seattle, I have dual U.S. and UK citizenship and particularly enjoy advising clients in on transactions with a trans-Atlantic element: in 2021, I earned a diploma from Harvard Law School’s CopyrightX course. In 2023 I was named as one of 25 “Rising Stars – Top Female Lawyers in the UK” by Law.com.

When I’m not at my desk, I enjoy exploring London (and beyond!) with my husband and our toddler,  especially where there is a coastline – and a glass of wine – nearby!
