Education and background

I was born in Germany to Americans working abroad, and split my childhood and early adulthood between Germany, Austin (Texas), and Seattle (Washington State). After earning my undergraduate degree from Washington State University in 2010, I moved to London to pursue my masters’ degree at the London School of Economics, and worked in marketing and media research for two years before becoming a lawyer (solicitor, England & Wales). I have always been interested in the performing and creative arts, and chose to specialise in media and technology law. I sat the California bar exam in 2019. When I’m not lawyering, I’m usually on my Peloton bike, or curled up on the couch with a glass of wine and planning post-coronavirus adventures with my husband.

Law School (LPC): City Law School, University of London.  MSc: The London School of Economics & Political Science.  BA: Washington State University.  High School: The Annie Wright School.
